GLP 100 Privacy Policy

GLP 100 is a personal tracking and education tool. It is not medical advice and not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Always follow the guidance of your prescribing clinician, and contact them for severe or persistent symptoms.

Information we collect

The app has no user accounts and no sign-in, and nothing you enter is stored on a server we operate. Everything you log lives on your device. If you turn on optional AI Coaching (described below), the numbers behind your coaching are sent to generate the text — they are not stored by us, and nothing sent identifies you.

Information stored on your device

All of the information you enter — daily check-ins, weight, meals and nutrition, medication doses, symptoms, activity, goals, and progress photos — is saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. It stays on your device; the only exception is optional AI Coaching, which, if you turn it on, sends the specific numbers listed below to generate your coaching text. Your data is removed if you delete the app. Progress photos are stored privately inside the app; they are not saved to your photo library by default and never leave your device.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, the app can read signals such as weight, steps, active energy, exercise minutes, workouts, sleep, hydration, heart-rate recovery, mindfulness, and mood, and — only if you ask it to — write entries back to Apple Health. This data powers your progress views and coaching context on your device. If you turn on optional AI Coaching, only your movement, weight, and hydration signals are included in what is sent for coaching — your Apple Health sleep, heart-rate recovery, mindfulness, and mood never leave your device. You can turn Health access off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.

AI coaching (optional, off by default)

GLP 100 generates your daily and weekly coaching on your device by default — using Apple's on-device intelligence where available, otherwise a built-in rules-based engine. You can also turn on AI Coaching in the Plan tab to generate more personalized writing using a cloud model. This is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.

When AI Coaching is on, the app sends the numbers behind that coaching to our secure service (Supabase Edge Functions), which passes them to OpenAI to generate the text: your daily calories, protein, movement, steps, and water; your hunger, nausea, and energy ratings; your current weight and pounds changed; and dose timing (whether today's dose was taken, and days since or until the next one).

What is never sent: your progress photos or food photos — images never leave your device; your Apple Health sleep, heart-rate recovery, mindfulness, and mood; your medication's name, dose strength, or injection sites; and your name or email, because the app has no account.

Nothing sent identifies you. Our service does not store your request. OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and retains it only briefly — up to 30 days — to monitor for misuse, then deletes it, unless it is legally required to keep it longer.

With AI Coaching off, coaching is generated entirely on your device and nothing is transmitted.

Food barcode lookup and food search

When you choose to scan a product barcode or search the food database, the app sends the product barcode or your search term to our own secure lookup service, which forwards it to public nutrition databases (such as Open Food Facts, the USDA FoodData Central, and FatSecret) to look up nutrition facts and returns the result to your device. These requests contain only the barcode or search text — no personal or health information is included, nothing that identifies you is sent, and we do not retain the requests.

Purchases

GLP 100 is free to download with optional subscriptions. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Analytics, tracking, and advertising

The app contains no analytics, no tracking technologies, and no advertising. It includes no third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.

Children

GLP 100 is intended for adults managing their own GLP-1 journey. It is not directed to children under 13. Because there is no account and nothing sent identifies anyone, the app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because the app has no account and we do not store your data on our servers, we hold no personal data to access, correct, or delete; if you use optional AI Coaching, the data sent to generate your text is not retained by us. Depending on where you live, you may still have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws. To ask a privacy question, contact us at richard@yourfriendrich.com. We will respond within thirty days. We do not sell or share any personal information.

Changes to this policy

This version of the app includes optional AI Coaching, described above, which processes data off your device only when you turn it on. If a future version changes what is processed off your device, we will update this policy to describe it clearly before the change takes effect, and any off-device processing will remain opt-in. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
